Oak Grove Baptist Church

After 32 years in the former church, the Lord sent us to Oak Grove Baptist the first of 2011.  What an enjoyable time it has been.  I have enjoyed the people and the opportunity to preach and teach the gospel of Jesus Christ.  This church is a loving church, interested in evangelism and equipping the saints for ministry.  My wife Mary and I are so blessed to be a part of this church and would like to envite you to join us as we worship Christ and serve Him.

 

In between keeping the grand children that Cheryl and her husband Ronald enjoy, Cheryl leads the choir and congregation in praise through song.  We at Oak Grove thank Cheryl for her dedication to God's ministry through music.  Many people are led to elation and conviction through song.  May God continue to bless and grow the music ministry at Oak Grove.

Always be prayerful that people are open to the leadership of the Holy Spirit.

One of the first faces you may see when you walk into Oak Grove is that of John Sullivent.  John believes that everyone, members and visitors especially, should be welcomed into God's house.  John was a member of Hillcrest Baptist church until he moved his membership to the warmth and friendliness of Oak Grove.

John retired as a master plumber after 35 years of service to the community.  We are proud to have John (and his wife Pam) working in the services of God.

Our greeters are important to our church.  Long time members and visitors alike are made to feel at home and at ease by the friends meeting them at the door.  If you're a visitor you can ask Jerry anything about our service.  Jerry is always a fixture at our church - the first to volunteer, the first there, one of the first to shake your hand and give a hug.
